Firing, Firing, Glazing, Firing, Firing......

My kiln is getting a real workout! I have lots & lots of pieces to fire. I expect to be firing about every other day between now & my show opening on Dec. 9th. I've emptied my showroom & cleaned it & so now it is awaiting my new pieces. Will start arranging things in the next few days.

Kiln firing

Opened the kiln today after firing yesterday. Blew a fuse in the middle of the firing, so lost some heat & time. Had to restart the firing. But the pots all were fine & a few are very nice.

Today at Beach Pottery

A kiln load of pottery is cooling & will be unloaded today. Need to mix more turquoise and nutmeg glazes. Then I will be glazing and reloading the kiln so I can fire again tomorrow or the next day. Busy times.

Fall Means Pottery Time

The cool weather has put an end to my gardening, so my focus now is on making pots and helping Ron get his solo cd ready for release.

Have not set the dates for my holiday open studio yet, but will be doing that soon.

Since I am retired from my day job now, I am around the pottery most days.  Feel free to give me a call & stop by.
