Spring Open House at Peterson Pottery

I will be participating in the Spring Open House at John Peterson Pottery on April 28 from 9 a.m. til dark.  There will be a total of 13 potters involved.  Not only will lots of nice pottery be for sale, but there will also be demonstrations and other things going on during the day.  Public welcome.  Stop out if you can.  John Peterson Pottery is located at 5801 E Pottery Rd., Albany, Indiana.

Happy New Year

Thanks to everyone who has supported my pottery efforts this past year. I had a great holiday sale. It was fun to see everyone who came out. I also want to be sure to thank Gordy Fine Art & Framing and the Farmland Art Coop for continuing to carry my work.

I've been taking a break from the pottery over the holidays, but today I went out and cleaned up the studio. I plan to get back to making pots in the next few days.

I'm thinking of having a spring open house this year. Let's see if I get enough ware made to do it.

Firing, Firing, Glazing, Firing, Firing......

My kiln is getting a real workout! I have lots & lots of pieces to fire. I expect to be firing about every other day between now & my show opening on Dec. 9th. I've emptied my showroom & cleaned it & so now it is awaiting my new pieces. Will start arranging things in the next few days.

Kiln firing

Opened the kiln today after firing yesterday. Blew a fuse in the middle of the firing, so lost some heat & time. Had to restart the firing. But the pots all were fine & a few are very nice.

Glazing tomorrow. Need to get some new pots done. Hoping to post new pictures to the site soon.

2011 Holiday Open Studio & Sale

The Beach Pottery will be open for the holidays:

Friday, December 9 from noon to 6 p.m.
Saturday, December 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you want to visit but can't come at one of these times, feel free to contact me & I will arrange another time for you to stop by. I am around the pottery most days, but it is always best to check with me to be sure I'm there before stopping by.

Planning for holiday shows

I have started planning for my holiday open house/show. Might be open one Saturday in November and another Saturday in December. Will update with dates & specifics when finalized.
